Announces two opportunities to expand international knowledge for the ufsm community: the first, entitled chinese bridge, is an initiative that aims to provide opportunities to experience the culture of the province of sichuan, in china; the second, entitled study in europe digital show, is an online event that will provide information about exchanges in europe. Both opportunities are free and aimed at the ufsm academic community, including students and teachers from all campuses. Chinese bridge is an opportunity sponsored by the center for language education and cooperation of the ministry of education of china, aimed at students and teachers from all over the world interested in experiencing and learning more about the local culture of the chinese province of sichuan, located in the southwest of the country . The objective of the course is to expand knowledge about local culture, but it is not restricted to that, and mutual learning between the participating nations is also desired. The ufsm community has 25 vacancies at chine bridge, which must be filled by candidates who can communicate in english or chinese and who also have an internet connection to attend remote classes.
The course will start on november 7th and end on december 21st, consisting of 20 meetings, ranging from recorded classes to live broadcasts. Classes will be held on mondays and fridays, from 9:30 am to 10:15 am, and on tuesdays, from 9:30 pm to 10:15 pm. The study in europe digital show is a series of online presentations organized by various agencies and consulates from european countries, which seek to disseminate information about higher studies in their respective countries. The broadcast will take place from 5pm next thursday (27th), on swissnex's youtube in brazil . To participate, you must complete the registration form , where the schedule and order of presentation for each country (switzerland, france, germany, spain and ireland) are available. In addition to the presentation, there will also be a moment for the public to ask questions and an initial conversation about how to carry out exchanges across the continent, without the delimitation of a specific country. The event was promoted by the cultural identities and resources committee of the centro-gare creative district and aimed to present the ethnicities that make up the city, helping to understand the historical plurality of the municipality and its population. On the occasion, 5 researchers were invited to expose and share knowledge about ethnicities, aiming to create timelines of the history of santa maria . They are: black, indigenous, italian, german and jewish. The proposal is that, based on these dialogues and reflections , 3 timelines are developed : one related to architectural aspects, another focusing on cultural elements and a third based on social aspects. The event began with a speech by the director of clube treze de maio, joão heitor silva macedo, who told the story of indigenous and black migrants who lived in santa maria when the local population was no more than nine thousand inhabitants. He highlighted, in his speech, that the black community has always been present in the municipality, however, in many moments, its history was erased from the records.
